If you are a woman, you might feel a bit worried staying at a capsule hotel by yourself.
Many Capsule hotels in Japan are men-only, but recently, capsule hotels for women are increasing a lot.
For single travelers, I would recommend you to stay at capsule hotels which have women-only floor.
Many women-only floor have security locks on each capsule floor, and amenities are usually designed for women.
Some capsule hotels may have better services than normal business hotels.
I have listed our those capsule hotels which have women-only floor.
If you are traveling by yourself, or with your women friends, please include the capsule hotel as one of your option for the stay in Japan!
If you are staying at a capsule hotel for a first time, you might have anxiety even staying on the Women-Only Floor.
Let me share the 2 necessary points when selecting your accommodation.
①Security of the Floor
Women-Only floor on some facilities are just separating the floor for men and women and do not have good security system.
Security camera is set up in each facility, however if you are worried, select the hotel which has security locks on each floor.
Main type of security lock for women-only floor is card type and password type.
Some facilities are even more secure that people cannot enter the floor using elevator without specific key.
These are very safe, but you might feel a bit troublesome.
Kinds of amenity is also depending on the facilities, but most of the capsule hotels do have shampoo, conditioner, body soap, towel, and tooth brush.
Some facilities provide cleansing oil and washing towel.
Some even have skin lotion, milk lotion, and hair iron!
“Enrich Amenity = Less Luggage,” so make sure you check amenity information beforehand.
